You Can Help!

There are two ways you can help:

1. Send a personal letter - no form letters, please - to Prime Minister Stephen Harper thanking him for the firm position his government has taken on this issue, and to Stephane Dion, federal Liberal leader, and Alexa McDonough, NDP Foreign Affairs critic, for supporting the government’s position.  Address the letter as follows (no postage necessary): House of Commons, Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 0A6.

Also write letters to the editor of the St. Croix Courier, Telegraph Journal, Quoddy Tides and Bangor Daily News stating your support for Canada’s position and explaining why you are opposed to LNG development in Passamaquoddy Bay.  Send a copy to SPB/C for our files.
2. Donate to our Campaign.  SPB/C will continue to engage in this issue until the proposals have finally been withdrawn.  We are a registered intervenor before FERC and we will continue to participate in that process as long as it continues.  It is important that the voice of Charlotte County citizens remains strong.  The money to support this campaign has come from lots of people making large and small donations, and from fundraising events like raffles, film showings, bridge parties, and the Quoddy Jam concert organized by are young people. We are very proud that so many Charlotte County residents have stepped up to the plate. Make cheques payable and mail to:
